1949 - Foundation of the company by Heinz Herzog and Felix Heymann. Manufacture of circular cutters, lacquering and folding machines.
1955 - Concentration on the production of folding machines.
1967 - Patenting of radial folding roller adjustment. In comparison to the axial adjustment, the radial folding roller adjustment is today still a decisive competitive advantage and is used in small-, medium- and large-format folding machines for complicate folding schemes.
1972 - Market introduction of the M 5 model range. The first range with formats extending from 40 x 60 cm to 140 x 195 cm, variable number of pockets and many versatile additional devices.
1977 - Construction of a new production facility in Bielefeld-Sennestadt.
1982 - Introduction of the M 6 and KL 112 model ranges. The use of less-static plastic/steel folding rollers enables folding work which was previously unfeasible. Beginning of development and production of mailing systems.
1986 - The M 7 model range is launched onto the market, replacing the M 6. The main features include the robust construction, high flexibility and folding mechanisms with up to 16 pockets.
1996 - HERZOG + HEYMANN develops into a specialist in special machine design and construction. Extension of the application possibilities of mailing systems by means of mobile individual assemblies and the use of new system components.
1997 - Format extension of the M7 model range up to a working width of 162 cm.
1998 - Further development of the KL 112 small-format folding machine. Increase of fold variability by equipment of the first folding station with 14 pockets.
2000 - Start of the co-operation between HERZOG + HEYMANN and MBO with the objective of offering customers a wide range of standard and special folding machines.
2002 - In order to increase the technical capabilities of our special folding systems, the collaboration with other major co-operation partners for punching, web-fed and dispensing applications is extended.
2005 - 1st Place in the 2005 Innovation Competition of the German printing industry. HERZOG+HEYMANN receives the Innovation Prize of the German printing industry for an exceptional mailing system.
2006 - Herzog+Heymann ends second at the Innovation Award 2006 of the German Printing Industry. Herzog+Heymann obtains the Innovation Award for a system for production of CD/DVD-packagings.
2007 - Herzog+Heymann ends first at the Innovation Award 2007 of the German Printing Industry. Herzog + Heymann obtains the Innovation Award for a system for inline-production of lottery tickets.
2008 - Herzog +Heymann ends first at the Innovation Award 2008 of the German Printing Industry with a diagonal folding system. Sheets can be folded in diagonal direction. The M7 was constructed in 165 cm working width for signature folding for the first time.
2009 – At the Pharma Event the parallel knife XP 250 for the outsert production as well as other production units for pharma applications were represented.
2012 – The first M8 folding machine with 18 pockets is constructed. Low maintenance and optimized for miniature folding. The KL112.1 is extended to up to 16 pockets and 52 cm working width.
2017 - The first KL112.1 with 24 for H+H us built and delivered
